“And let us welcome the new year, full of things that have never been before.” — Rainer Maria Rilke

Doesn't that sound like marvelous fun?! It does to me! I am more than ready to welcome the new year, but I have also taken the time to say goodbye to 2010......

.....I've reflected on all that happened, the good, the not-so-good, the accomplishments, the things not completed, the hurts and disappointments, the joy of new friends made along the way as well as the sadness of those lost .....

.....and I resolve to take with me into 2011, the lessons learned, the joys of the year and leave the other in the past—where it belongs.

Chris and I wish each of you a year of blessings, of joy and happiness, of challenges to keep you sharp and on your toes as well as balance and sanity to enjoy it all.

Now, if you're ready (I am!!), BRING IT ON!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

  2. Happy New year to you Laure! We are getting ready for our big New Year's party - getting the final Christmas stuff in the attic, rented a Karaoke machine, lots of alcohol....Today is my husband's birthday and tomorrow is mine. We always have lots to celebrate. We get it all out of the way over a few hours. Unfortunately, my birthday is always spent mopping the floors and picking up confetti. No time to Paint so I appreciate seeing your cute New Year's Bear!

  3. What a cute pic to bring in the new year with! I am always behind on picking a word, planning goals and so on as it takes all I've got to stay focused on family stuff while I am with the grandkids and I am always with them over Christmas. I usually settle down towards the end of January. Guess that might make me seem like a procrastinator but really it's just lack of being able to focus with so many people around me! Hope you and Chris have a great new year too!

-- 2011 words of the year are chosen - check.
