Festive Changes!

9:08 PM

Time to spruce up the blog for the festive, holiday season! And who better to help than a few of my feathered friends?!

Oh, and now it's snowing! I hope your holiday season is off to a fabulous start. We had a wonderful 4 day weekend with family, food and lots of fun!

We're getting ready to pull our decorations down from the attic to adorn inside the house and out for the next 5 weeks. I'm looking forward to it. Maybe because it's a change from the usual or maybe because it's another opportunity to focus on the "good stuff".....family, friends, food, frivolity, and the usual nuttiness that goes hand-in-hand with this time of year.

As you celebrate the season, I hope you find time to treat yourself to a few quiet moments with a warm beverage to reflect on the season, what it means to you, to count your blessings and to give thanks.

I know that I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams, and chief among them, is all the friendships I've made out here in the blogosphere and through the classes. Thanks to each of you for that precious gift!

'Tis the season! Let's get the celebratin' started!

  1. Your new look is delightful Laure. Glad you had a good weekend. I did too until I broke my ankle (but you already knew that). I'm going to wait and see how it does before I decide whether to sign up for your Clever Christmas class.

Jacqueline, the short answer is Uniball White Signo Gel Pen. The long answer is that it's digital. I'll see if I can put together a post on how I've created the new header.

Lisa, I love the lights too! On our honeymoon we stayed at a B and B run by a British couple and she called them faerie lights! I think that's very appropriate!!

  17. Cheryl broke her ankle? I'll have to hop over to her blog next. Good thing I've taken the day off now that all the family have gone home.

Love the new look and the talk about decorations makes me think I'll just have to take time to paint the one object I've put up which is a lit-up wooden cactus ornament my daughter gave me so we'll have some Christmas lights now that we don't do the tree anymore (we'll be heading to her house in just 3 weeks and we do this each year).

I keep telling my husband that the blog neighborhood I am part of is so much nicer than the political one he chooses to spend time in. Here everyone is friendly and helps one another! I love it.
