It is fun to just go for it. My expectations aren't as grandiose and somehow forgive myself my shortcomings on this type of painting. I usually learn something too which is always a bonus.Lisa at Greenbowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07743973292900758183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6711781124266002702.post-66954692047503604992009-07-27T19:22:45.780-04:002009-07-27T19:22:45.780-04:00This is beautiful--not typical of some of your wor...This is beautiful--not typical of some of your work, but it's charming! This is a really nice vignette of such an attractive doorway. I went to Google Maps and used the street view to see the building you sketched (technology is amazing!).

As far as watercolor sketchbooks, I've yet to find one I like. The paper always warps, etc. But I have heard a lot of people mention moleskin, so I'll have to give that a try. Good luck with your sketchbook.Gabriellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15086855019663714453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6711781124266002702.post-69343332732497478392009-07-26T23:20:01.154-04:002009-07-26T23:20:01.154-04:00Great job on the image - I really like the bricks ...Great job on the image - I really like the bricks and shadows.Claire Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10422062718551034294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6711781124266002702.post-69902284325057015732009-07-26T21:37:36.701-04:002009-07-26T21:37:36.701-04:00Great plein aire. It's so portable and the pages take a fair amount of wash without falling apart.Terihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16029722057577018059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6711781124266002702.post-79423227511505496722009-07-26T18:52:34.311-04:002009-07-26T18:52:34.311-04:00Laure....this is gorgeous. (I love the bricks and the depth of color you've shown in them--looks like the right too, so you really must have sweated it out!) :-)Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02263405659108175434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6711781124266002702.post-85240082800496824242009-07-26T18:44:24.028-04:002009-07-26T18:44:24.028-04:00Charming, Laure!Charming, Laure!Donna Mulhollandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09774726071727784002noreply@blogger.com
